Systems Administrator

Seconded position.
Fixed term 1-year contract on post grade C2 with annual base salary between R295,724 and R443,585 if full compliance to job requirements. Benefits include pension and medical aid contributions, 21 days annual leave.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with server hardware and software maintenance, monitoring of correct functioning of servers, ICT Asset Management and maintenance, technical support to production applications and end- user support, assist with software development, training and induction, and materials development. Assist and support software developers with the enhancement and maintenance of internal systems.

Job Requirements
Matric with related IT Certification e.g. A+, N+, MCSA, PC Engineering, Server Maintenance.
At least 5yrs Systems Administration or systems related certification course such as Novel Admin, Windows Administrator, Linux Administrator.
Valid driver’s license needed and willing and able to travel extensively within SA.

Technical Trainer/Facilitator

Seconded position.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and prepare for training sessions, provide technical training, compile training reports, assist with materials review and development, provide technical systems support on HPR system.

Minimum Job Requirements
Matric. A+ and N+ certification. Skills Development Facilitator. Should be technically orientated.
2 to 3yrs training and development experience and understanding of adult education principles. Understanding- or exposure to SA health information systems and HPRS software will be an advantage.
Report writing and good communication skills.
Valid driver’s license needed and willing and able to travel extensively within SA.

Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
Health information systems management with specific reference to hospital ICT infrastructure and technical support services; data quality improvement; and health systems strengthening.

Minimum job Requirements
A relevant graduate degree or equivalent in health or ICT as well as a project management qualification, advanced computer hardware- and software skills.
In-depth knowledge of health information systems (SA health care environment) with excellent capacity to analyse, interpret and present health information related data. Knowledge/ experience in working with hospital data and information systems.

Key Responsibilities
The Business Analyst’s primary objective is to help the organisation implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners. The Business Analyst will be involved in all areas of ICT from analysis, design, development, testing and evaluation.

Minimum Job Requirements
Health Related degree/diploma or relevant certification.
Business related degree/diploma or relevant certification.
IT-related or relevant competencies (JavaScript, Angular, React, Ionic, PostgreSQL).
Thorough knowledge of documentation methods, processes and best practices as described in the BABOK.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
Knowledge and practical competencies around UX & UI principles.

Senior/Specialist Database Manager

Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, technical support and skills transfer on DHIS database development, configuration, management and maintenance to strengthen and optimize health information monitoring and evaluation systems.

Lead and integrate business processes on a technical level, analyse data requirements and identify required components/elements to be structured in a multi-relationship environment within an existing or new entity.

Lead platform upgrades, improvements and implementation by supervising system programming. Ensure security of the database. Report on performance and progress.

Job Requirements
Relevant Health or IT related tertiary qualification.
Experience and skills: 2 years DHIS, data scientist/specialist related experience, advanced skills in PostgreSQL, relational databases, spreadsheets and MS Access. Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, RESTful state API experience, technical writing ability, statistical data analysis, ETL tool skills (Pentaho), webAPI skills. Experience working with NGOs and Ministries of Health.

Strong sense of self-guided focus with attention to detail, while working in a very fast-paced environment. Strong English writing skills and ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in email correspondence. Must be willing to work flexible working hours and to travel. Must have a valid driver’s license.
