e-Learning Specialist


Fixed term 2 year contract on post grade C5 with annual base between R420,195 and R630,293 if full compliance to job requirements. Benefits include pension and medical aid contributions, 21 days annual leave plus study leave and financial assistance for formal studies.

Key Responsibilities

Include the design, development, implementation and evaluation of e-learning and knowledge transfer activities that support improvement of business outcomes and organizational performance.

The e-Learning Specialist applies adult learning expertise to the planning, design and delivery of a variety of training programs and systems, educational activities and related resources to meet

employee, stakeholder and client learning needs. Responsibilities also include curriculum development, program and materials design and delivery, coaching staff and ensuring consistent

application of corporate policies and standards for learning and knowledge transfer.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, diploma or certification in adult education or related field, or an equivalent

Qualification in Project Management essential.

Completion of a learning and development certification will be an asset.

An IT qualification will be an advantage.

Combination of education and practical experience developing and delivering training to adults.

Experience in leading and facilitating project teams and in working with multiple stakeholders to deliver a product, program or service.

Experience and strong technical skills in using a variety of computer software programs used in the preparation and presentation of training materials and web-based learning, including MS Office, Adobe Captivate), web tools (e.g. HTML, SharePoint), learning management systems and blended learning platforms (e.g. Moodle, Adobe Connect), content management systems.

A valid driver’s license is required, must be willing and able to travel extensively within South Africa and occasionally abroad.
