Grant’s Officer

Fixed term 2 year contract on post grade C2 with base salary between R259,654 to R389, 480, If full compliance to job requirements. Benefits include pension and medical aid subsidies, 21 days annual leave plus study leave and financial assistance for formal studies.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor and control compliance to grant regulations and timelines. Operate a central filing system and database—project document management services. Provide project accounting services. Produce financial reports and multi-project status reports. Responsible for financial management of sub awardees. Office administration and supervision.

Job Requirements
At least 3 years tertiary qualification in accounting or business management as a minimum requirement. A project management qualification, where risk management was part of the curriculum is highly recommended. Knowledge of donor rules, regulations and grants management functions of especially, but not limited to, EU, PEPFAR and USG entities. At least 5 years’ experience in accounting, billing and invoicing of donor funded projects as a minimum requirement. Proven experience of South African Government billing procedures and if in health context it will be an advantage. At least 5 years’ experience working in an NGO environment will be a definite
advantage. Proven experience of budgeting for new proposals a definitive advantage. Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, advance skills in Excel with a good working knowledge of pivot tables. Must be willing to be flexible i.t.o working hours and willing to travel and Drivers licence.
